PinBubble is a game jam project made for the Global Game Jam 2025 using Godot Engine in less than 48 hours. It was developed together with a group of experienced UE devs with the aim of learning Godot’s capabilities for creating 3D games. It was programmed using GDScript.
It is a 3D top-down videogame in which the player progresses through the level by opening doors until reaching a chest. Movement is controlled by striking the player character, similar to how a pinball ball is launched and redirected.
The theme of the game jam was Bubble, so we reimagined the traditional pinball mechanic. Instead of a ball falling downward, the player is a bubble that naturally wants to rise. As a result, the objective is to move downward through the level while constantly fighting against the bubble’s upward force.
The game can be downloaded for Windows or play in the browser at itch.io.
